CYCLING HOLIDAYS IN THE FRENCH ALPS FOR THE INDEPENDENTLY MINDED

climb the classic cols of the Savoie at your own pace, then relax in comfort at our alpine cycling bases near Bourg Saint Maurice

Self-guided road cycling holidays in the French Alps

Gruelling alpine climbs, fast adrenaline-laced descents, fantastic mountain scenery – we’ve got easy access to it all from our friendly cycling chalets in the heart of Savoie Mont Blanc.

Perfect spot for road cyclists

The  Savoie Mont Blanc area has more mountain passes than any other part of France. Our main cycling chalet is in the valley near Bourg Saint Maurice, so you ride out and return along the flat each day. There are more than 10 stunning high altitude cols and climbs you can start and finish at the chalet, and many more within 1-2 hours drive. We can also provide drop offs/pick ups and dedicated support vehicles if required.

Ride Tour de France cols

Conquer the same iconic alpine climbs as your Tour de France heroes. Ride out from the chalet and take on a different col each day, including the Col de la Madeleine, Col de l’Iseran, Cormet de Roselend, and the Col du Petit St Bernard. Other famous climbs within 2 hours drive include Alp d’Huez, Col du Galibier, Col de la Colombiere and the Col des Saisies.

Flexible cycling holidays

Stay 3 nights or more catered / half board in either of our friendly bike chalets, or stay self-catered in the self-contained penthouse. Bring a non-cyclist companion

Non-cycling friends, partners or spouses are very welcome too and there’s plenty for them to do – whether following a local hiking trail, hiring an e-bike for the day, relaxing in the garden or at the nearby lake, horse riding, swimming or taking a gentle stroll along the 12km riverside path.
